Accessing the Reporting System

Accessing the CAA Report in EnGauge

For CAA reports due on February 1, you will be able to access the system beginning the first week in October. For CAA reports due August 1 you will be able to access the system the first week in April. However, data collection forms are available on the CAA’s webpages to assist you in your planning and data collection efforts prior to entering faculty, course, and clinical site data into EnGauge. An e-mail notification will be sent to all program directors announcing access to EnGauge with important details about how to access the system and expectations for completing your CAA report.

Changing the Signatory for CAA Reports

For CAA purposes, the program director serves as the signatory on CAA reports; editors are not authorized to submit CAA reports. Programs must notify the CAA of program director changes—including temporary appointments and sabbaticals—as soon as possible, but no later than 30 days after the change. The program must submit notification in writing [DOCX] to the CAA Accreditation Office. Upon receipt of the official notification, the accreditation staff will update the program’s accreditation records and CAA report signatory.

Adding Editors for CAA Reports

Individuals who access EnGauge as an Editor or Signatory do not have to be an ASHA member, certificate holder, or affiliate. However, all individuals must be a registered ASHA website user. When assigning editors to enter information to the CAA report, the program should consider only faculty and/or staff who will serve in a primary role for completing sections of the report. The program director may add or remove editors at any time during the year via the on-line web form “Update My Program Data” found on your “My Account” page from the ASHA website.

ASHA Website Registration Instructions

  1. Select “My Account” located on the top right corner of any page of the ASHA website
  2. Enter your ASHA login and password (if you have no login or password, select “Create a new account”)
  3. Select “Update My Program Data” under the CAA subheading to view the reports available, the time frame in which they are due, and the status of an open survey or report
